According to reports, the student accused the teacher of sexual harassment and the said teacher has been detained. The incident has been reported from a school in Panchagachia under Bareipali police station limits in Sambalpur.
After a case was registered in the police station on the charge of sexual harassment of a student, the police are investigating into the matter. The English teacher who has allegedly harassed the student has been identified as Arun Joshi. He is being interrogated by the police in this case.
According to the complaint, the student was inside the classroom with some of her friends when the English teacher entered the class and asked the victim student’s friends to leave.
Meanwhile, the student has accused the teacher of abusing her in the room. Today, the parents’ association reacted sharply to the incident and informed the school Chairman. On the other hand, on the orders of the District Collector of Sambalpur, the Additional Sub-District Collector reached the spot and conducted an investigation. However, the response of the concerned teacher has not been received.
