Sudarsan’s magnificent sandy tribute on Mother’s Day inspires tourists in Puri

Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a magnificent sand sculpture on the sea beach here to mark the International Mother’s Day which is being celebrated across the globe today.

Sudarsan, who expressed his good wishes to all mothers of the world on this occasion, chose to depict the divine relationship between a mother and her baby through his sand arts during an exhibition which was held at the beach this morining.

Later the iconic artist who also holds a Guinness World Record for building the world’s tallest sand castle took to his twitter handle and posted a picture of one of his sculptures showing PM Narendra Modi taking blessings from his mother Hiraba.

Art lovers and fans of Sudarsan thronged the exhibition site in large number staring from the morning to take a glimpse of his flawless creations.

The 39-year old Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan holds a number of laurels to his reputation which include the World Champion title at USF World Sand Sculpture Championship in Berlin in 2008 and five times People’s Choice Award in the same competition.
