STF arrests two absconding drug peddlers in Odisha

The Odisha State Task Force (STF) arrested two absconding drug peddlers from Khurda and Nayagarh respectively

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Task Force (STF) arrested two absconding drug peddlers from Khurda and Nayagarh respectively.

On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted STF team at Khordha on September 29 and apprehended one absconding drug
peddler Md Sadam, son of Md Rustam under Danagohiri Police limits in of Puri district.

In this case, on September 25, the STF seized 3.11 kg of brown sugar, three 7 mm pistols, seven magazines, 43 rounds of 7 mm ammunition, one blank cartridge, and other incriminating materials from the possession of the accused.

The accused then absconded from the spot. He was the main supplier of arms and ammunitions to the accused person Siba Prasad Das.

Later, both the accused has been arrested and forwarded to the court of Dist & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge, Nayagarh. Further investigation is on.

Similarly the STF  arrested another absconding accused person Chittaranjan Behera, son of Biswamohan Behera, a resident of Gopalprasad area in Nayagarh. In this case, 1090 gram contraband brown sugar and other incriminating materials were seized from the possession of the accused.

The accused fled from the spot during the raid. Later, he was arrested and forwarded to the court of Dist & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge, Dhenkanal. Investigation is on.
