Shree Jagannath express: 10,000 devotees to visit parikrama prakalpa in Puri

Puri: Devotees will get a divine experience today. Devotees from all over the state will travel in Jagannath Express Bus and will experience the divine Srimandir Parikrama project today.

Reports say that devotees from different districts are being brought to Puri by bus from today. On the first day, devotees from some areas of Ganjam, Balasore,  Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Kendrapada districts shall be brought.

All buses shall be parked in the joint parking lot. From there, they will be taken to the Jagannath Pilgrim Center through the Sri setu by special buses from the district administration and the temple administration. From the Pilgrim Center, the devotees will go to the shrine through Shree temple and the parikrama prakalpa.

Arrangements have been made for the devotees accommodation, food and drink, bath and toilet. About 10,000 pilgrims will be brought every day till February 22. A total of 1 lakh 77 thousand 40 devotees from 852 panchayats and wards of the state will come in 3,910 buses.

Nodal Officers along with Panchayatiraj Department and District Administration have been engaged to manage this program in an orderly and efficient manner. On January 17, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Shree mandir Parikrama project.
