Ganjam: The Ganjam district administration today imposed restrictions in the rural areas of district. The Collector have urged people not to visit urban areas for the next 15 days if there is no emergency.
The Collector have requested to the citizens of the district to avoid crowds and maintain physical distance of two metre from each other. He has also asked everyone to wear masks and sanitise and wash hands frequently.
Worth mentioning, the district is witnessing rise in the positive cases of the Covid-19. Currently, the tally stands at 1137, with 318 active cases. Out of which 811 have recovered and 8 people have succumbed to this deadly coronavirus.
We request people in Rural area not to visit Urban area for next fifteen days if not any emergency. Avoid crowds.

It has also been found that another five Covid Warriors of Ganjam Police have tested positive for coronavirus and are now under observation, informed Ganjam SP via tweet.
