While speaking about the development, the Sub Collector said that a dedicated corridor will be constructed from Marchikote Square to the Lion’s Gate with the aim to facilitate the devotees who have to stand in long queue for hours to enter the Jagannath temple.
This special corridor will be there all throughout the year, he said adding that however, it will be removed during the annual Rath Yatra period.
A multi-level parking with the capacity to accommodate 500 cars and 500 bikes was inaugurated on Jail Road. Two more multi-level parking buildings will be set in the city soon, the Sub Collector informed.
