Puri: In a development into the murder mystery of Chittaranjan Palai who was the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board Sanjay Das Burma, the crime branch team has arrived at Ground Zero for the investigation.
Reportedly, the statements of the detainees have been recorded in Baselisahi Police Station. The officials will look into the matter of whether there is a contradiction between previous statements and current statements.
Earlier on Thursday, the crime branch team investigated the crime spot where they found Chittaranjan’s body, the phone call records, the depth of the river, the place where the bike was spotted, and other relevant information.
The information regarding this murder mystery has also been noted down from the eyewitnesses of the village who spotted the body of Chittaranjan. The family of deceased Chittaranjan was also questioned by the Crime Branch team.
An investigation is underway to ascertain why Chittaranjan went along with Jaga from the house in Matiapada, Puri on the fateful night. The team will further inspect the rescued materials from the crime spot and the call details.
