Odisha vigilance raid on MI in Kalahandi district
On Wednesday a short while ago, there has been an Odisha Vigilance raid on MI (Marketing Inspector) in Kalahandi district of Odisha.
Kalahandi: On Wednesday a short while ago, there has been an Odisha Vigilance raid on MI (Marketing Inspector) in Kalahandi district of Odisha.
The MI has been identified as Sumanta Mallik. He was working as the Marketing Inspector (MI), Th. Rampur Block, in Kalahandi district has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance.
The Odisha Vigilance raid on MI was conducted while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.14,000/- from a Complainant for processing his application and others for inclusion of their Ration Cards under “Antyodaya Scheme”.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from exclusive possession of accused Sri Mallik and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Mallik from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No. 32 Dt. 03.10.2023 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Mallik, MI. Detailed reports awaited in this case.
