Koraput: There has been an Odisha vigilance raid in Koraput a short while ago on an RI and a Peon said reports on Tuesday, said reports.
The RI (Revenue Inspector) has been identified as Bijay Kumar Bagh and Rohit Kumar Padhy, Peon both in the office of the RI Lamtaput Circle under Machhkund Tahasil in Koraput district have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance.
The two government employees were demanding and accepting of bribe of Rs.10,000/- from a Complainant for demarcation of his land. The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from Padhy, Peon and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Bagh, RI and Padhy, Peon from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 41 Dt. 18.12.2023 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against both the accused persons namely Bagh and Padhy. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
