Odisha: UP School teacher in vigilance net

Nabarangpur: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted raids at the residence and other places belonging to Subrat Kumar Choudhury, Assistant Teacher, Mundagada UP School under Kosagumuda Block in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.

The anti-corruption officials conducted simultaneous searches at seven different places in the district headquarter town on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.

The searches are being conducted at a four-storied residential house situated near HDFC Bank, Nabarangpur; a residential house situated at R.K. Colony, Nabarangpur; Santoshi Infotech Computer Center situated at Main Road, Nabarangpur; double storied building located at Rangamatiguda, Nabarangpur; double storied building located near New Church, Nabarangpur and double storied building located at New Bandha Street, Nabarangpur.

The total estimation of assets disproportionate to the accused teacher’s known sources of income was yet to be unearthed as vigilance raids were underway when the last reports came in.
