Odisha: Offline classes of UG 1st year begins from today

Bhubaneswar: The offline classes of first year under graduate students for the session of 2021-22 started from today following Covid appropriate rules. The Higher Education Department had informed regarding the same by issuing a notice October 27.

The face mask/ face cover shall be mandatory for the students and staffs and frequent hand wash/ hand sanitization shall be ensured. Social distancing rules shall be adopted in classrooms, libraries, laboratories, etc., and spitting in campus shall be strictly prohibited.

Respiratory etiquette shall be strictly followed including covering one’s mouth and nose by handkerchief while coughing/ sneezing. The self-monitoring of health and reporting of illness shall be encouraged. An isolation room shall be made ready for any emergency situation.

Hostel facilities shall also be made available for those students who have taken admission in hostels where all possible Covid-19 prevention protocols shall be followed.

The offline classes of first year post graduate students for the session of 2021-22 will begin from November 15, 2021.

It is pertinent to mention that the offline/physical classes for class 11 reopened on October 21 with strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines across Odisha. However, the students have also been given an option to continue attending online classes.
