Odisha Finance Minister presents Rs 28,200 Cr Supplementary Budget

Odisha Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha today presented the Supplementary budget amounting to Rs 28,200 crore in the House.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha today presented the Supplementary budget amounting to Rs 28,200 crore in the House.

As per Arukha’s presentation on the first day of the monsoon session of the State assembly, the highest allocation of Rs 4698 Cr has been proposed for Disaster Management. This is followed by the Panchayatiraj Department, which has been allotted Rs 4083 Cr.

The third and fourth highest allocations have been made for the Mass Education Department and ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha.’ While Rs 2882 Cr has been sanctioned for the Mass Education, Rs 1302 Crore has been given to the ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ scheme.

Likewise, Rs 210 crore has been proposed to carry out the metro rail project in the State.
