Karanjia: Crocodile census began in different river systems under Similipal in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Saturday.
The counting process is being done mainly on the banks of rivers including Khairi Bhandan, Budhabalanga, Khadkei and Thakthaki.
The counting of the number of crocodiles will continue for three days starting from Saturday.
At least two to three teams have been formed in each range for the census.
