Odisha: Court allows Crime Branch STF to take Kashmiri fraudster on five-day remand

Chandikhole Court in Jajpur district has reportedly granted permission to the STF of Odisha crime branch to take Kashmiri fraudster Sayed Ishan Bukhari on remand.

Bhubaneswar: Chandikhole Court in Odisha’s Jajpur district has reportedly granted permission to the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch to take Kashmiri fraudster Sayed Ishan Bukhari on remand.

The court has reportedly allowed the investigating agency on a five-day remand against its application for seven-day remand.

The STF will take him on remand to question him over his links with Pakistan ISI agents. He was in the list of the wanted persons of Kashmiri police.

Bukhari used to change his locations across the country to avoid police arrest after a case was registered against him. However, the STF officials arrested him from Jajpur district.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has joined the Crime Branch to investigate the incident.
