Odisha Chief Secretary urges for smooth and disciplined HSC exam

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on Monday urged the concerned officials to conduct smooth and disciplined conduct of the annual high school certificate (HSC) examination beginning March 25.

While reviewing the preparedness of the ensuring board examination, Padhi said a wide range of issues like management of the examination centre, distribution of question papers, transportation of the answer sheets, the safety of the students and handling of law and order situation at the examination centres were thoroughly discussed.

DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma also reviewed the district-wise preparation of the forthcoming board exam through video conferencing.

Sharma said illegal activity during the examination is a non-bailable crime. Adequate police force will be deployed at the examination centres for maintaining law and order situation.

Development commissioner Atish Kumar Tripathy has also asked the Schoo and Mass Education department officials to be more alert regarding the question paper leak.

Notably, 5, 87,720 students will appear for the annual board examination at 2,953 centres, scheduled to be held from February 22 to March 8.
