Nayagarh: The vigilance sleuths on Saturday conducted a raid at the assistant civil supplies officer residence in Nayagarh on charges of accumulating disproportionate assets in his name.
The anti-corruption officials conducted search at Assistant Civil Supplies Officer Jayant Kumar Das’s residence in Nayagarh and five other places.
During the inspection, the Vigilance team unearthed cash of Rs 2,74,075, one four wheeler and three two wheelers.
The search was conducted at his four storeyed building located at Lenkudipada in Nayagarh, two double storeyed building located at Gandhisahi lane in Odagaon, single storeyed building located at his native village Biruda in Nayagarh and his office at Nayagarh town.
The search was led by 4 DSPs, 8 inspectors, one SI, 4 ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
