The winter session of the Odisha assembly today endded before 26 working days after speaker Pramila Mallick adjourned the proceedings for indefinite time.
Bhubaneswar: The winter session of the Odisha assembly today endded before 26 working days after speaker Pramila Mallick adjourned the proceedings for indefinite time.
The Winter Session, which commenced on November 21, was slated to conclude on December 30. It had a total of 30 business days. The Assembly was scheduled to remain closed for holidays on the occasion of Rasa Purnima on November 27 and Christmas on December 25.
However, the speaker adjourned the house for an indefinite period following continuous huge commotion by the opposition BJP and Congress over different topics mostly the tribal issues.
