Bhubaneswar: At least two persons died and one sustained severe injuries following an explosion while preparing firecrackers at Balipatna Banamalipur Nuasahi on the outskirts of here in Odisha on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Gyanaranjan Mishra and his wife, Jhunarani Mishra of the same locality. The injured was rushed to a nearby private hospital.
The intensity of the blast was so powerful that it blew out most parts of their house.
Meanwhile, police and fire personnel reached the spot. Bodies were sent to autopsy test, police said.
