New Sun temple coming up in Konark of Odisha, watch

The Jagamohan of the temple will have 7 horses and four wheels

Puri: A new Sun temple is coming up in Konark, the town of Odisha where the world famous Sun temple called ‘Black Pagoda’ is located. The Jagmohan of the new Sun temple is 127 feet high.

The famous Sun Temple was built about 800 years ago for worship of the Sun God. It was built by Langula Narasimha Deva. However, initially the Sun Temple was destroyed by invader Kalapahada. Besides, bad weather also badly affected the temple. It is also heard that the idol of the Sun God was taken away by the British Government from the Sun temple. And hence from then worship of Sun God was stopped.

Of course, worship of Sun God has been going on in small temples. Keeping this in view few years ago Om Baba wanted to build a new Sun temple in Konark where worship of the Sun God can be done. However, 4 years ago he passed away.

After his demise, another person named Mukesh Jain came up and put much effort to build the temple. And recently, worship was done at the temple for its foundation.  So with this, Om Baba’s dream was fulfilled. Yagnyas and special worship was performed for the temple in presence of former MP Prasanna Kumar Patsani.

Talking to media founder of the temple Mukhesh Jain said that the Jagamohan of the temple is 127 feet high. The Jagamohan of the temple will have 7 horses and four wheels.

So, as per the temple committee, from today, devotees can perform worship of Sun God at this new Sun Temple.
