Ahead of the strategic meeting called by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on May 8 to discuss the issue of Maoist menace, Odisha Chief Secretary AP Padhi will chair a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat on Wednesday to draw strategies to tackle the naxal menace in the state.
DGP, Home Secretary, IG (Intelligence), Development Commissioner and other senior officials are slated to attend the meeting.
As the decision taken at the meeting will be presented at the anti-Maoist strategy talks on May 8, discussion on various factors such as the coordination with the neighbouring states during counter-naxal operations, the completion of Gurupriya Setu and other issues will be taken up today.
