Naveen Patnaik declares Assets worth Rs 50 Cr for 2016-17

Naveen PatnaikBhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s total assets are around Rs 50 crore, including an Ambassador car of 1980 model worth Rs 10,477, according to his assets declaration statement for 2016-17.

The Chief Minister declared that he has immovable properties worth around Rs 48,95,34,000 including his 2/3rd share in Naveen Niwas in the capital city, 50% share in a property situated at APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi and a 22.7 acre farm land along with a building in Faridabad.

Patnaik, who is also the BJD President, stated that he has total deposits of Rs 24.5 lakh cash in various bank accounts in Odisha and New Delhi, that includes Rs 12,46,792 cash in Bhubaneswar based SBI branch and Rs 6,071 in Hinjilicut College branch of the same bank . Similarly a total sum of Rs 12,17,153 and Rs 1,626 have been deposited in his name in Janpath branch of Bank of India and SBI, Parliament House branch in in New Delhi respectively.

Besides, the Chief Minister acknowledged possession of jewellery worth Rs Rs 2,05,518. He also mentioned that he had borrowed loan of Rs 15 lakh from his sister Gita Mehta.

All the Ministers of Naveen Government have submitted their assets report for 2016-17 recently.
