Narrow escape for 40 passengers as moving bus catches fire in Sundergarh district

As many as 40 passengers along with the staff of a bus had a narrow escape from being hurt or burnt alive as the bus in which they were traveling caught fire in Sundergarh district of Odisha today.

Sundergarh: As many as 40 passengers along with the staff of a bus had a narrow escape from being hurt or burnt alive as the bus in which they were traveling caught fire in Sundergarh district of Odisha today.

According to reports, the private bus was on its way to Rourkela from Angul with 40 passengers. However, a fire reportedly occurred in the bus all of a sudden when it had reached near Rajamunda village of the district.

Soon, every occupant of the vehicle alighted from bus and saved himself/herself from being injured.

While the exact cause of the inferno was yet to be known, it is suspected that the fire might have occurred due to a short-circuit.
