NAAC grants A+ grade to Utkal University
Utkal University of Odisha has regained its A+ status from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on Thursday.
Bhubaneswar: Utkal University of Odisha has regained its A+ status from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on Thursday.
Conforming about the development, the Director of the NAAC, in a letter to the Vice Chancellor of the oldest university of Odisha said, “Your institution has been Accredited with a CGPA of 3.26 on a seven-point scale at A+ Grade valid for a period of 5 years from 01-05-2023.” However, the university will receive the A+ grade certificate later.
It is to be noted here that Utkal University’s grade in the rankings of the NAAC released in May 2023 had fallen from A+ to A. After facing widespread criticism for losing the A+ grade, the university had urged the NAAC for a re-evaluation.
