Subarnapur: Reliving the fear of mysterious animal attack in the State, at least 25 sheep were killed and 10 others sustained injuries in predator attack in Kumursingha village under Biramaharajpur block of Subarnapur district last night.
As per the report, one Kapil Mahakur of the village inspected his cattle shed this morning and found the sheep dead. Pointing at the possibility of the mysterious animal attack the livers and other organs of the dead sheep were found gouged out.
Deep nail indentations and injury marks were also found on the neck of the injured sheep.
Forest officials were intimated by the affected cattle farmer later in the morning.
While the locals have demanded compensation for the affected farmer for the loss incurred, the forest officials had not reached the spot till the last report came in.
