Miscreants thrash husband and sons after attempting to rape woman

Kendrapara: In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants attempted rape a married woman and attacked her husband and two sons in Poipata village under Pattamundai police limits in Kendrapara district last night.

At least three attackers arrived at the house of the victims soon after they went to bed after dinner and started knocking the door. Later they broke open the door and barged into the house and tried to outraged the modesty of the woman.

After the victim’s husband along with two sons protested the assault of the miscreants they started thrashing them with a shovel inflicting critical injury and fled from the spot.

Some neighbours reached the spot after hearing the screaming of the victims and rushed them to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

While the cause behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, it seems to be a fallout of past rivalry suspected some villagers.
