Bhubaneswar: In an interesting piece of news, miscreants loot an idol in Bhubaneswar but were not able to take it with them! Even after stealing the idol the miscreants could not carry it away.

According to reports, the statue was lifted from the temple and left in the river bank, said reliable reports. Thieves left the old statue of Shiva Parvati in the bank of Daya River in Govardhanpur in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

Reports say that the locals have recovered the idol tied in a net sack. There was a huge crowd at the scene, said reports. Meanwhile, the Pipili police have received information about the incident and have started further investigation in this regard.

According to information, some people of the area went to the river bank to defecate. There they saw the statue tied in a sack and  they informed the police. However, while the miscreants were looting the idol in Bhubaneswar for some reason, they left the idol and ran away. This sculpture is believed to be very old. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
