Mega Fight Expected Between Aparajita Sarangi Of BJP And Manmath Routray Of BJD In Bhubaneswar!

Bhubaneswar: A mega fight is expected between Aparajita Sarangi of BJP and Manmath Routray of BJD for the General Elections 2024. Manmath Routray joined BJD in a mega joining ceremony recently, said relevant reports.

The veteran leader of BJP Aparajita Sarangi is the present MP of Bhubaneswar. So there will be a mega face-off between newly joined BJD politician Manmath Routray and Aparajita Sarangi for the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency.

In the last 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Aparajita Sarangi got 4 lakh 86 thousand 991 votes whereas BJD candidate Arup Patnaik got 4 lakh 63 thousand 152 votes. But Aparajita won only by a margin of 23 thousand 839 votes. Congress did not field a candidate for Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat last time. Congress had an alliance with the Left party. Janardhan Pati was a candidate from the left party. He got only 23 thousand 26 votes in all.

After the announcement of the list of BJD candidates for the upcoming general elections 2024, the political atmosphere in Odisha has become abuzz with activities. The 72 MLA candidates and 15 MP candidates of BJD have started their preparation.

It is worth mentioning here that recently Ollywood Superstar Sidhant Mohapatra, and Padmashree awardee Damayanti Beshra joined BJP at the party headquarters in Delhi.
