Malkangiri: Red terror showed its ugly face again in the district with Maoists killing one person on suspicion of being a police informer in Mahupadar village under Mathili Police Station area.
The deceased has not have been identified so far.
A group of heavily armed members of outlawed CPI (Maoist) group barged into the deceased person’s house in the village late in the night and started reprimanding him for passing on information to police. Later on the ultras picked him up and took to the nearby Golipadar forest to kill by slitting throat.
After killing the villager, Maoists also left some posters on the spot written in Hindi, cautioning the villagers against being police informers. Failing which the villagers were told to get ready for similar consequence.
