Bhubaneswar: Manisha Padhi from Odisha an officer in the Indian Air Force has achieved a milestone by becoming the nation’s first female ADC (Aide-De-Camp).
The Governor of Mizoram Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, announced the appointment on Wednesday, said reliable reports in this regard.
He designated Manisha Padhi a Squadron Leader of 2015 batch of the Indian Air Force, as the first ever woman ADC.
The Governor of Mizoram wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, “Hearty Congratulations to Sqn Leader Manisha Padhi for being appointed as Aide-De-Camp(ADC) to the Governor of Mizoram.”
He further said, “Sqn Leader Manisha is India’s first Woman Indian Armed Forces officer to be appointed as Aide-De-Camp(ADC) to the Governor in the country.”
“My best wishes to her and may she excel in the sector with the expertise she has earned over the years,” he signed off.
Prior to this assignment, Manisha Padhi had served in three different postings—Air Force Station, Bidar, Air Force Station, Pune, and Air Force Station, Bhatinda. She hails from Berhampur. Manisha has graduated from C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar.
