Man sexually assaults girlfriend in moving car in Odisha’s Kandhamal, arrested

Kandhamal: In a recent incident, man was arrested for sexually assaulting his lover in a moving car, said reliable reports in this regard.
The accused has been identified as Ashis Mahapatra from Baliguda of Kandhamal district. Ashis was in a relationship with a PET teacher of the Government High School in Baliguda. They were in the relationship for one year.
Two days earlier, the accused took the teacher to his home to marry her. But, as the teacher belonged to a tribal caste she was rejected by his family. According to reports, the accused took her to Raipur in a car. On their way to Raipur the accused allegedly raped the teacher inside the moving car.
After the teacher’s brother knew that they were going to Raipur, he asked the accused to come to Baliguda on a phone call. After they returned to Baliguda the teacher filed a written complaint in police station.
The IIC Sushant Sahu informed that Baliguda Police arrested the alleged accused Ashis and then forwarded him to court.
