Man killed, another injured after speeding vehicle hit them in Ganjam
An old man was killed and another sustained injury after a speeding unknown vehicle hit them near Srichandanpur road in Ganjam district
Ganjam: An old man was killed and another sustained injury after a speeding unknown vehicle hit them near Srichandanpur road under Patapur police limits of Ganjam district on early morning today.
The deceased has been identified as Dr Swain and the injured as Kora Sahu.
Reports say, Dr Swain had gone to visit Shiv Mandir, while he was returning back a speeding unknown vehicle hit him and he died on the spot and injured Kora Sahu who had gone to take his bath to a nearby pond.
The injured Kora was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical aid.
Later, on being informed about the incident, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, the locals blocked the Aska-Digapahandi road and burnt tyres demanding compensation to the family of the deceased.
