According to reports, while dancing the truck hit a man and then crushed him to death. The fatal accident took place near Abhimanpur under Maniaband police station in Athgarh.
The incident took place during Ganesh visarjan. A truck ran over the youth while he was dancing during the Ganesh visarjan was being celebrated near Abhimanpur Bazar under Ladamba Maniaband police station. He died on the spot.
In protest, the villagers have blocked the state highway number 65 in Khuntuni Narsinghpur demanding compensation to the family of the deceased. They blocked the road by burning tires. Manyabandh police arrived at the scene and are trying to placate the irate mob. Further detailed reports awaited.
