Bhubaneswar: Konark Police in Puri district took journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra on a four-day remand amid tight security today.
According to sources, police took Abhijit to question him over his derogatory remarks against Konark Sun Temple and about his air-trip over the Sun Temple and Puri Jagannath Temple.
The controversial scribe was arrested in connection with a case filed at Sahid Nagar Police Station under sections 294, 295A, 153A, 500, 506 of IPC and section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
Meanwhile, his lawyer Nikhil Mehera said that he will apply for his bail after the completion of Abhijit’s remand.
