Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha crime branch claimed that arrested Kashmiri fraudster Sayed Ishan Bukhari has direct links with Pakistan ISI agents.
The STF IG Jaynarayan Pankaj said Bukhari has direct link with Pakistan’s Mufti Tariq Masood and he used fake sim cards to contact him.
We have seized four mobile phones and during the preliminary stage of the investigation, we have found that he was chatting with ISI agent and he had deleted some chats. For recovery of the deleted data, we will send the phones to SFSL if required. He was also in contact with two Pakistani suspected agents via social media, informs STF IG.
The Intelligence Bureau and Special Task Force (STF) have interrogated fraudster and have got additional information.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will assist the Odisha Crime Branch in the investigation into the suspected ISI link of Bukhari soon.
For further probe into the matter, the Kerala, Punjab and Maharashtra police will interrogate the fraudster, the STF IG added.
Yesterday, Sayed Ishaan Bukhari was arrested in Neulpur in Jajpur district on the charges of impersonation and alleged links with suspicious anti-national elements.
Bukhari is currently in judicial custody in Jajpur sub-jail after his bail petition was rejected by the Court.
