Bhubaneswar: India’s largest indoor athletics stadium at Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar awarded the prestigious World Class 1 Athletics Facility Certification.
The Kalinga Sports Complex, Kalinga Indoor Athletics Arena Track and Field has received the prestigious World Class 1 Athletics Facility Certification. The certification has been awarded by the World Athletic Organization.
This recognition is an important milestone in cementing the reputation of Kalinga Stadium Sports Complex on the global sporting stage.
The state-of-the-art Mono track, which was installed for the first time offers exceptional performance, durability and athlete-friendly surfaces that make the center a center for top-level competition and training.
State Sports and Youth Services Department Secretary R. Vineel Krishna, IAS said that this recognition signifies Odisha’s commitment to provide sportspersons with a world-class infrastructure for better training.
Class-1 certification indicates that the Kalinga-in-Door Athletics Arena follows the highest standards set by World Athletics by meeting stringent criteria in terms of infrastructure, facilities and technical capabilities.
