Sambalpur: In the latest update in the infant stuck in borewell in Odisha, the new born baby who was rescued is reportedly in a critical condition. Reports say that she is currently under treatment by a medical team consisting of 10 members.
The infant has been admitted at the SNCU (Special Newborn Care Unit) in VIMSAR, Burla. On December 12, an infant fell into a borewell in Sambalpur district of Odisha. Reports claimed that the infant had been thrown into the well by someone since the well was located inside a forest.
Few locals upon hearing the cries of the infant, rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the police officials and fire department they saw an infant stuck in borewell.
After a tough eight hour long rescue operation, the baby was successfully rescued. She was then shifted to VIMSAR, Burla in green corridor for immediate treatment.
