If 10% of persons will commit mistakes, problems can grow 100 times: Odisha CM on COVID19

Bhubaneswar: If 10 percent persons will commit mistakes, problems can grow 100 times, said Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while speaking about the COVID19 situation in the State.

In his address to the people of the State via video conferencing, Patnaik said that Odias living in other States (including States like Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat which have been badly affected by Coronavirus) will return to Odisha.

The CM, however, appealed the people of Odisha not to panic over their return, rather to have patience and cooperate with the State government in dealing with the situation.

“We should take care of all those who are returning from outside the State. They are our relatives and family members. We should love and accept them,” he advised.

“The coming days are going to be very crucial for us. We can fight COVID19 successfully only if we all of us remain alert and careful,” Patnaik added.

The CM also said that West Bengal returnees have emerged as a new challenge for the State as of the total 122 positive cases, 50 are West Bengal returnees.

Patnaik also thanked the people of Odisha for their support to the government saying that the COVID situation in the State is under control and will continue to be under control only if everyone cooperates with State government.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the State government has taken all measures for the safe return of the migrant Odias. It has launched a special webportal for their registration and made it mandatory for them to undergo a 14-day quarantine at the TMCs created across the State.
