Humid and hot weather in Odisha to continue for the next 4 days
Bhubaneswar: Humid and hot weather in Odisha is likely to continue for the next four days, said the local MeT department on Thursday. In the western part of Odisha, it is extremely hot and humid. Even along the coast it is very hot.
According to reports, there shall be no relief from the heat for the next four days. There is no possibility of any significant change in the weather for the next few days. After this, the temperature will gradually increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius said the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center.
The weather department has issued yellow alert to some districts of Western Odisha today due to the heatwave. Yellow warning has been issued to Bolangir, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Mayurbhanj districts.
Warm and moist breeze will prevail over most parts of the state for four days. This is likely to result in extreme heat and thunderstorms. The weather department has issued a yellow alert to various districts. Similarly there will be effect of Kala Baisakhi in a few places during this period. Warning of heavy heat continues today in one or two places of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Nabarangpur.
