Berhampur: A huge cache of ganja has been seized in Ganjam district of Odisha, said reliable reports on Monday.
According to available reports, as much as 82 kgs and 400 grams of ganja was seized during the raid operation in Ganjam District by Patpur Police Station.
The icident has been reported from Padampur Road in Ganjam District under Patpur police station limits. The ganja was seized from a goods carrying autorickshaw during the checking.
The police had earlier received information about the smuggling of marijuana in a goods carrying autorickshaw. On the basis of this information, the police were already on guard.
The police seized the autorickshaw and arrested Satish Kumar Gaud of Tikarpada of K. Nuagaon police station, said reliable reports in this regard.
He was later arrested by the police. It is worth mentioning that the seized ganja was weighed in the presence of the Tehsildar.
