Honey Trap Case in Odisha: Archana Nag walks out of jail 7 days after getting bail

Honey trap queen Archana Nag has finally walked out of Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar after 14 months of imprisonment.

Bhubaneswar: Honey trap queen Archana Nag has finally walked out of Jharpada jail after 14 months of imprisonment. This comes seven days after the Orissa High Court granted bail to Nag on December 4.

Archana Nag, along with her bailer who provided two lakh rupees as surety, has submitted their passports in court. Further, She has provided the address where she will reside, and any change in the residence without the court’s permission is not allowed.

The court has been informed of her mobile number, which cannot be switched off or changed during the bail period. After fulfilling these conditions, the release order was submitted to the jail.

It is to be noted here that Archana was arrested on October 6, 2023 after three different cases were registered against her.

Odia film producer Akshay Parija had filed a sextortion case against her at Nayapalli police station for allegedly demanding ransom from him and threatening to publicize photographs and video of his intimate moments with Shradhanjali Behera, the co-accused in the case.

Another sextortion case was registered against her at Khandagiri police station. The enforcement directorate also had filed a money laundering case against her.
