Himansu Khatua directed ‘The Sea and Seven Villages’ selected for screening at Jagran Film Fest

Bhubaneswar: The documentary film ‘The Sea and Seven Villages’ directed by renowned filmmaker and national award winning director Himanshu Khatua has achieved yet another success. The film of Mr Khatua has been selected to be screened at the Jagran Film Festival, the world’s largest travelling film festival.

Reportedly, 7000 films from 72 countries from all over the world were submitted to this film festival, out of which only a few have been selected as the best films to be screened at the festival by the renowned jury of national level. “The Sea and Seven Villages” from Odisha is one of the nominated films to be screened at Jagran Film Fest.

To promote good cinema across the world and in an aim to bring the artistic vision of cinema to the masses, the “Jagaran Traveling Film Festival” organized by Jagran Publishing Group will organize this film festival in different metro cities for hundreds of days in eleven states throughout India.

Produced by Kadambini Media and presented by KISS and KIIT founder Dr Achyuta Samanta, the research and direction of ‘The Sea and Seven Villages’ is by Himansu Khatua while this documentary film has been produced by Dr Iti Samanta.

Earlier, ‘The Sea and Seven Villages’ had brought laurels to Odisha after being selected to be screened at the International Kerala Film Festival.
