The incident took place under Bhubaneswar Mancheswar police station limits in Padma kesharipur, Kelasahi area late-night.
It has been reported that the two groups were involved in throwing stones and bottles at each other. There has been an attack between the two resident groups due to previous enmity.
In the attack, a man was admitted to the Capital hospital in a critical condition and more than 20 were injured. Right after Durga Puja Padma kesharipur has witnessed a stir.
A few days ago according to reports, there was a clash between the two groups. It has been reported that the miscreants broke into the house with a bottle of kerosene and set it on fire.
Due to the tension, the police had clamped Section 144 section at the scene. There was a Police flag march after group clash, said reports.
It is worth mentioning here that on October 14 yet another group clash had taken place in Bhubaneswar, a youth was chased on the roads in Patia with a sword.
According to reliable reports, a fatal attack on a young man took place in Ganganagar area under Khandagiri police station limits.
The group clash in Bhubaneswar was based on passing comments and an alleged love affair. The miscreant allegedly chased the young man with a sword on the roads.
The injured youth has been identified as P Ramakrishna. Reports say that, Ramakrishna was sitting with some of his friends when eight miscreants attacked him.
The injured youth P Ramakrishna has been admitted to the Capital Hospital. The police has started an investigation into the matter. Detailed reports in this regard is awaited.
