Golak Mohapatra & Bhrugu Buxipatra move Orissa HC over Ganjam BJD Councillor Murder Case

Berhampur: Odisha BJP leaders Golak Mohapatra and Bhrugu Buxipatra have moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the sensational Chhatrapur BJD councillor Laxmidutta Pradhan murder case.

Notably, the Ganjam district police had summoned the two saffron leaders on January 30 asking them to appear before it.

While Mohapatra was supposed to appear on February 7, but he failed, Baxipatra was directed to appear before the cops on February 9.

Police had interrogated Mohapatra earlier for his alleged links with one of the key accused in the murder case.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the BJD councillor was murdered by a group of youth on September 16, 2017 allegedly over political enmity. Police had then arrested over 15 persons including the prime accused in connection with the murder case.
