Fleet of 84 Ambulances Added To 108 Ambulance Service In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today virtually flagged off 84 numbers of Basic Life Support Ambulances (BLS) to the existing 108 ambulance services, that will serve at all corners of the State.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the new ambulances at the Transport Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

The Odisha Government has allocated Rs 104 crore for the additional vehicles for the next 5 years and the ambulances will be provided to 27 districts.

There is already a significant improvement in the functioning of health centres and hospitals and advised to create new benchmarks in the standard of medical services, said Chief Minister.

He also advised to train the ambulance staff to handle the patients and relatives empathetically. He stressed on use of technology for intensive monitoring of service parameters of ambulance services.
