First Passenger Train to Nayagarh from June 19

Nayagarh StationNayagarh: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off the first regular passenger train to Nayagarh on the Khurda Road-Bolangir railway line on June 19 through videoconferencing from Rail Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Minister will also inaugurate the new railway station at Nayagarh town and Bolagarh Road Passenger Halt.

The move will connect Nayagarh district by rail route to the rest of the state ahead of the Ratha Jatra festival.

On the inaugural run, the train will run as a special train from Nayagarh Town Station towards Khurda Road at about 1500 hrs (3.00 pm). However, regular service in the extended portion will be commenced from June 20.

58430 Nayagarh Town-Khurda Road Passenger will leave Nayagarh Town at 0500 hrs and will reach Khurda Road at 0700 hrs. In the return direction, 58429 Khurda Road-Nayagarh Town Passenger will leave Khurda Road at 1935 hrs and will reach Nayagarh Town at 2130  hrs, East Coast Railway sources said .
