Fake Spices Manufacturing Unit Busted in Odisha’s Cuttack, 1 held

Cuttack: Cracking down on trade of fake spices and other adulterated food materials in Cuttack, Police and Cuttack Municipal Authorities seized adulterated food items worth more than Rs. 10 lakh on Saturday. One person has been arrested in this connection.

The owner of the fake spices manufacturing unit Rajesh Rout has been arrested.

Acting on a tip off Police and CMC officials on Saturday conducted raid in the said fake spices manufacturing unit in Cuttack. As per reports, the unit did not have license for manufacturing spices while he was running the unit under the label ‘Orimix’. In the manufacturing unit, different chemicals and other materials were being mixed in the processing of spices.
