Cuttack: A female elephant has been found dead near Taila village under Sukasan reserve forest of the Athagarh Forest division in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Wednesday morning.
The body of the jumbo, said to about 7 years old, was found lying in a pool of blood at an agricultural field of the village.
On being informed, the Forest department officials reached the sport and began an investigation in this connection.
Locals said, a herd of five elephants from Sukasan reserve were seen in this area.
