Ex-Drugs Inspector of Chhatrapur in Odisha awarded 2 RI and Rs.10,000 fine

Ganjam: Today Rabi Chandra Panda, Ex-Drugs Inspector (Retired), Chhatrapur, Ganjam, was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case.

The conviction order was passed vide Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur TR No.32/2007 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 for possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs.16,12,881/-.

Panda was convicted by Special Judge, Vigilance Berhampur and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for 3 months more for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Rabi Chandra Panda, Ex-Drugs Inspector (Retired) following his conviction.
