Nilagiri: A deer fell into a pond and died. This incident has occurred in Khaira block of Nilagiri.
The deer had loitered into the the village in search of food. According to eyewitnesses, when the deer saw people coming close to it, out of fear it entered into the pond and lost its life.
The forest officials are inquiring the matter.
