Bhubaneswar: As many as five teams of Commercial Tax Goods and Services Tax (CT GST) conducted simultaneous raids at three properties of Bharat Motors in Odisha’s capital over Rs 38 crore pending tax, including Joint Commissioner of CT and GST Umesh Chandra Tripathy.
Reportedly, the three properties include Mancheswar, Pahala, and Cuttack road showrooms of Bharat Motors.
It has been alleged that Bharat Motors had been involved in tax fraud for many years.
Till the last reports came in, the GST team has been checking all the related documents at all the three properties of Bharat Motors. The investigation involved five teams of 30 officers.
